The MEC responsible for the Department of Transport, Safety and Liaison, Ms Limakatso Koloi, as well as the Acting Director of Transport Regulations, Mr H Van Coller, in collaboration with the Executive Mayor of Sol Plaatjie Municipality, Ms Barbara Bartlett and the Municipal Manager of the Sol Plaatjie, Mr T Matlala, handed over the new Roadworthiness Testing Sheet Tablets at the Sol Plaatjie Traffic Department.
The aim of this event is to introduce the new implantation of the RTS, which is a synonym for Roadworthiness Test Sheet, is a tablet formulated and managed by the exmainers. The purpose of this new gadget is to implement the RTS gadgets with the objective of curbing the scourge of corruption and to ensure the roadworthiness of all motor vehicles. The Executive Mayor of Sol Plaatjie Municipality, Ms Barbara Bartlett, she expressed her gratitude and commended the collaboration between the province and the municipality on the rollout of the RTS gadget project plan.
“During the 6th Administration, Premier Zamani Saul, laid out a vision for a modern, growing and successful province. The gadgets we are handing over today is the exact thing the Premier was indicating. We are using technology to make service delivery easier”, MEC Koloi shared in her speech.
