18 July 2023 - MEC Nomandla Bloem joined by HOD Rodney Pieterse and the departmental staff, led the Nelson Mandela International day celebrations in Upington.
MEC Bloem distributed 30 Shovakalula bicycles to Louisvale Primary School learners and furniture for the Victim Friendly Facility (VFF) at the Kanoneiland Police Station. The department also refurbished a home of an elderly couple in Pabalelo and handed over groceries, furniture for the house and provided seeds to start a vegetable garden.This year’s Nelson Mandela International Day is celebrated under the theme: “Solidarity in reducing climate change and food insecurity".
