26 July 2023 - The DTSL-JTG District Officials hosted a comprehensive representation of role players in the safety and security cluster which comprised of members from the Provincial and National Civilian Secretariat for Police, SAPS, Ward Councillors, CPF, Gamagara Municipality, FAMSA and other stakeholders to establish and launch a functional Community Safety Forum (CSF) structure and to elect the Gamagara CSF Executive Council, today in Kathu.
The establishment of the CSF is designed to create a platform for co-ordination, integration and implementation of multi-sectoral crime prevention and community safety initiatives within the precinct of the Gamagara Municipality.
The Municipality is committed to partnering with all law enforcement agencies, communities (through organized structures) and all departments involved in CSF's to fight crime and implement programmes aimed at enhancing community safety.
